Camping Accessories
When you're camping you may not be close to home. We'll give you helpful tips and provide you with access to useful products.
Creating a list of camping accessories you don’t want to be without
There is definitely not one list of camping accessories for everyone. Depending on what your planned activities are, it is probably best to start with the basic necessity items. Food is a great place to start. When you’re in the great outdoors breathing fresh air and doing physical activities, food cooked on the camp stove, grill or over a campfire never tasted so GOOD! Create a list of the meals with menus you will be preparing. For example, breakfast could be bacon, eggs, pancake mix, pancake syrup, butter, coffee, milk, etc. Just continue creating the menu for each meal you plan to prepare. If you listed bacon for two different meals, needing three pounds for each meal, you will need to take or purchase six pounds of bacon total. Now repeat this process for the other menu items until your list of food is complete. Now looking at the food list, this should start the thought process of some other camping accessories that you need. Will I be cooking on a camp stove, grill, or campfire? Will I need charcoal, starter fluid, white gas, propane or wood? Don’t forget the cooking pots, pans and skillets. Camping accessories for cooking should include spatulas, tongs, large spoons and a can opener. You can start to see how important it is to list the camping accessories that you will need to take, to create the enjoyable experience you deserve. Other camping accessories to pack are plates, bowls, silverware and cups. Will there be items that need chilled in a cooler, such as, ice, water, pop, beer, milk, eggs or butter? Will I need a dish pan and dish rag, towels or paper towels to clean up? Are their showers for your convenience? Will you need bath or swimming towels? Where will you sleep and what bedding items will you need? Don’t forget your lawn or bag chairs to sit around the relaxing campfire. Outdoor camping usually attracts insects and ants so remember your insect repellant, fly spray or swatter and first aid kit. What type of light sources will you need at night? Possibilities could be lanterns, flashlights and/or glow sticks.
Have a wonderful time packing all your camping accessories and enjoying the great outdoors! |
